Nestled at 211 N 11th St, this delightful eatery combines a vibrant atmosphere with an exceptional menu that never fails to impress. From the moment you step in, you’re greeted with a warm ambiance, perfect for casual dining or a lively night out with friends.
One of the many highlights of Yakitori Boy is its incredible sushi offerings. Customers rave about the freshness and quality of the dishes. As Bri Jenae notes, their sushi “is always good and very fresh compared to other sushi places in Philly.” This commitment to freshness sets a high bar for those hunting for gourmet sushi in the city.
But the menu doesn’t stop at sushi. Yakitori Boy excels in diverse options that cater to every palate. Reviewers like Z B. were thrilled with their prompt late-night service and culinary delights, indulging in dishes like shrimp tempura udon and chicken karaage curry. Each item was not just appetizing but presented in generous portions, with flavors that resonate with authenticity and care.
For those seeking a more lively experience, Mercedes Wisner mentions the restaurant's nice setting, ideal for social gatherings. The added allure of a karaoke bar downstairs promises even more entertainment for those who want to sing the night away after enjoying a delicious meal. Whether you’re on a date, a night out with friends, or just craving a flavorful feast, Yakitori Boy welcomes all with open arms.
Among the standout dishes, don't miss the crispy spicy tuna bites and the ribeye wasabi yakitori. As Ash Babiie shares, be sure to add wasabi for that extra kick—it's a flavor experience that should not be overlooked. Plus, with claimed “maybe even Philly’s best happy hour,” it's a prime spot to unwind after a long day.

“ I always get their sushi to go and it’s always good and very fresh compared to other sushi places in Philly. They never disappoint. Highly recommend. ”
“ Nice setting! Met up with some friends for a Saturday night dinner! We ordered a variety of foods and I l loved all of it! The service was great and quick! There’s a karaoke bar downstairs but I realized too late. I see myself coming back! ”
“ Me and my parents arrived in Philly around midnight on a Saturday, hungry. Luckily, we stumbled upon this spot and it did not disappoint. We ordered shrimp tempura udon, shrimp tempura, gyudon with egg, chicken karaage curry, chicken teriyaki with rice and mixed greens, shrimp tempura roll, and two orders of salmon roll. Every dish was appetizing. The portions were generous, everything came out fresh, and the flavors were solid. Perfect place for a late-night bite. Highly recommend if you're looking for delicious food with great service. If I find myself in Philly again, I’ll for sure be back. ”

“ Great food, 2as recommend by rideshare driver and had a great experience, go for happy hour and enjoy or even the regular menu prices are fair ”
“ Always amazing and quick service and quality! Our favorite go to happy hour date night! ”
“ I love to come here. The atmosphere is very relaxed but the food here is FANTASTIC. I usually go with the yellowtail carpaccio, fried pork dumplings, or pork belly yakitori. I tried the chicken karaage the other night and it was crispy and lovely. My only complaint is that the drinks are on the weaker side, although delicious. ”
“ I tried out yakitori boy last night with my coworker her friend and LET! ME! TELL! YOU! Wow wow wow! For a cute cozy night out with friends, this atmosphere does just the job. Since I wasn’t sure what to order, we asked that Judah made sure the kitchen staff prepared and served the most presentational and delicious dishes they had. We were honestly blown away with everything we had. The selection of yakitori they offered is honestly outstanding- get the yakitori family tray to share with everyone and you’ll see how each one we had was grilled with great flavor. The fish tasted incredibly fresh as well, and their sashimi knocked us almost out of the restaurant. The whole staff was really friendly and attentive, which made ordering drinks a little too easy! I mean, their drink menu offered such a variety of sake and cocktails that paired perfectly with the food, so how could you not? I recommend the tamarind margarita- she was really cute. If you’re looking for Japanese cuisine with a contemporary twist, Yakitori boy is definitely a go-to when visiting Chinatown! ”
